Scope & Content Original handwritten diary of Leon Riddle covering 11/25/1932 to 11/5/1935.This is one of five handwritten diaries of his in this accession. While the cover says 11/25/1932-11/5/1935, the information actually covers 11/27/1932-11/4/1935.

Leon H. Riddle (8/16/1864-1936), and sons Karl and Kenyon who grew up in Herington, Kansas, kept diaries describing weather, daily events, family, business, political and social activity; local, national and international events.

This text continues his life in West Palm Beach, Florida describing many social activities, Great Depression, death of Addison Mizner for whom Riddle Engineering had done work, weather and baseball, papaya business and business done by Riddle & Yetter, sale of the furnishings of the Royal Poinciana Hotel
