Leon H. Riddle (8/16/1864-1936), and sons Karl and Kenyon who grew up in Herington, Kansas, kept diaries describing weather, daily events, family, business, political and social activity; local, national and international events.
This text continues life in West Palm Beach, FL. including real estate dealings, an account of the hurricane of 1928, death of his wife, Harriet, social life, continuing effects of the bust, brief work for Smith & Riddle, economic news of bank failures and progressing to the Oct 1929 panic of the stock market and its effects.
