Scope & Content Kenyon Riddle's original handwritten diary covering 6/27/1923-08/5/1926 days in Ohio and Florida;1932 Montana trip; 1932 Mexico City Trip. See 2003/005.010 for scrapbook.

Prior to arriving in West Palm Beach, Florida December 17,1923, Kenyon lived in Middleton, Ohio. The diary describes projects, social activities, business and politics and his plans to join his brother Karl in West Palm Beach. He was appointed Kelsey City Manager December 18, 1923 and worked with Kelsey briefly on plans for its development.

In addition to real estate transactons, and projects there is a description of going through a burial mound on the Mizner Road. Development and growth of the Riddle Engineering Company is described including work with the Mizner Development Company. The March 23, 1926 entry descibes the burning of the Breakers Hotel and the Palm Beach Hotel.

The Florida Boom period is detailed and the 1956 addendum describes the Bust and his subsequent work.

The diary also describes a trip to Montana in 1931-1932 and Mexico City, Mexico in 1932 and includes a 1951 addendum. Social activities and also some business in Mexico are described.
