Leon H. Riddle (8/16/1864-1936), and sons Karl and Kenyon who grew up in Herington, Kansas, kept diaries describing weather, daily events, family, business, political and social activity; local, national and international events.

His work included real estate, insurance, loans and collections. He was involved in the affairs of Henrington, KS. In addition to the town and business affairs, weather, social activities and politics, there are entries on the progress of WWI to the armistice and the flu epidemic.
